JOURNEY
We all face difficulties from time to time. Sometimes the trigger can be a bereavement or a job loss and sometimes it can be an accumulation of small things built up over time.
My own experience of therapy as a young teen was positively life changing. It did much more than sort out my muddled and confused mind it also brought about an inner self awareness and self confidence that was empowering, it also provided me with a capacity for ongoing self-analysis. In my twenties, witnessing a family member suffer with ever increasing mental health issues left me feeling quite helpless, it was a difficult and distressing time and it left me with a concerning curiosity as to the hidden mysteries held within each unconscious mind.
These experiences coupled with volunteering as a Samaritan in my thirties all greatly influenced and inspired a career change that would eventually enable me to dedicate my time and attention to understanding ‘The Unconscious Mind’.
CLIENTELE
The clinical support I provide is accessable to people across all walks of life and all areas of the community: which is reflected in the arrangement of my fee schedule.
The clientele that tends to be naturally drawn to working with me are those that, beyond needing to find a cure for their symptoms, and one that is not medication centred, also hold a belief that their challenges are psychic rather than physical and are equally as curious as I am about the makeup of their own unconscious mind.
CREDENTIALS
I trained with WPF Therapy a London training institution with a reputation for clinical and academic excellence. I hold a Post-graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy Theory and Practice from the University of Roehampton and an Advanced Certificate in Relationship Therapy.
I am a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and follow their ethical codes and professional standards of confidentiality and practice.
In relation to local community work, I trained and worked as a Samaritan providing support to people distressed and in despair as well as implementing a counselling support initiative for school children, supported by the school management team, teachers and parents.
