SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT
FIRST STEPS
I offer an exploratory consultation which will last 90 minutes. I will invite you to talk about your background and experiences, the environment you grew up in that informs your spiritual or religious beliefs. It is understood that the nature of what you have to talk about might be difficult or uncomfortable to discuss. You may also have a hope or sense of expectation as to what it is that you would like to achieve through the intervention.
The consultation will enable me to elaborate on my spiritual approach, how I work and answer any questions that you may have. The session will conclude with a recommendation of how best to proceed. It is important to point out that I provide a non-judgmental service and work in the strictest of confidence.
THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
My approach acknowledges that a sense of self can be nurtured into conscious reality, and it can be developed into an increasingly ever-more meaningful presence within oneself. A greater understanding and knowing of oneself is generated resulting in a resident power and confidence emerging from within the unconscious identity.
Furthermore, this presence within, (this spirituality) can be developed to the point of bringing about a personal sense of connectedness to a greater (unfamiliar) entity; a higher power. My professional approach facilitates this spiritual development supporting you to obtain a more robust, resilient, confident, assertive and powerful sense of self.
MILESTONES
The work you will be committing to, with me does produce transformative results however, observing and making sense of your unconscious drives and impulses through applying the psychodynamic approach and framework does require the work to be ‘intensive’; it will be necessary for you to come to see me each and every week, on the same day and at the same time.
The first milestone will be to reach a comfortability and familiarity with the environment and format of the work. Secondly, to identify and understand reoccurring themes and patterns. Thirdly to understand and work with psychic interpretation. Fourthly, to identify the spiritual self. Fifthly, to establish and develop connectivity and communication. Sixthly, to experience revelation and establish spiritual growth and finally, to identify and work towards ending.
This work is long term, usually a minimum of 6 months and longer depending on the starting position and the success criteria identified.
